เซลล์ที่เคลื่อนที่ได้ (motile cells) ซึ่งอาจเป็น ได้ทั้ง zoospore หรือ gametes ก็ได้
ลักษณะสำคัญ คือ เป็น coenocytic structure รูปกลม หรือ รูปไข่ หรือ เป็นเส้นสาย มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงของzygote เป็น resting spore หรือ resting sporangium เป็น diploid thallusผนังเซลล์ประกอบด้วย chitin และ glucan ตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ Synchytrium และ Allomyces
